A Georgia real estate investor pleaded guilty for conspiring to rig bids at real estate foreclosure auctions in Fulton and DeKalb counties in Georgia. According to an announcement from the Department of Justice , Morris Podber admitted that he conspired with other real estate investors to not bid against each other in public foreclosure auctions on certain properties. The properties are set to go up for auction on the steps of the Coweta County Justice Center on Oct. 6. Typically, some of the properties advertised don't make it to auction because the owner takes care of the past-due payments or makes a deal with a creditor. All the properties advertised are residential, and the majority was purchased in the mid-2000s. Comment?
