Home sales are climbing in Fresno and other areas of the central San Joaquin Valley, according to the California Association of Realtors' July sales and price report. Homebuyers are more confident in the market given sustained job and income growth, pushing home sales to the highest level statewide in nearly three years, the association said. Comment?

Housing affordability was down slightly in Fresno and other central San Joaquin Valley counties during the second quarter of 2015 as demand drove spring home prices up. California's housing market saw a softening of home sales and prices in October but is still on target to meet forecast projections, according to the California Association of Realtors.
