The banking sector lead the S&P 500 index higher Wednesday as the biggest among them put up strong quarterly numbers and Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen confirmed that the central bank is likely to raise interest rates this year. Kansas home sales should rise by more than 8 percent in 2016 according to the 2016 Kansas Housing Markets Forecast series published by the Wichita State University Center for Real Estate.
