The Hilton Lisle/Naperville -- one of DuPage County's largest hotels -- is facing foreclosure after the property's owner failed to pay a loan that recently came due, according to a lawsuit. U.S. National Bank Association has filed the foreclosure lawsuit against Fireside West of Delaware LLC, which owns the 309-room hotel in Lisle. Comment?

Oak Brook attorney Danny Lattas was disbarred following his conviction in federal court of wire fraud and mail fraud, according to the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission. Lattas also pleaded guilty, in a separate federal case, to bank fraud and making false statements to a lending institution, the commission said. Comment?

September 22 - The Illinois housing market saw a late-summer surge in August, with gains in both home sales and median prices. According to Illinois REALTORS, statewide home sales in August 2016 jumped 6.7 percent from 15,415 in August 2015 to 16,455 last month. Comment?
