While home sales in the Hamptons slowed in the second quarter, sales for the rest of Long Island soared, according to a new report. The study from Douglas Elliman Real Estate and Manhattan-based appraisal firm Miller Samuel shows that Nassau and Suffolk counties had the highest number of second quarter home sales in more than a decade, rising 20.8 percent from a year ago.
