Monterey County >> Salinas continues to be the hot market for real estate, leading the area by nearly five times what its closest competitor, Monterey, did in closed sales in May. “I think it's great for the city and underscores the fact Salinas is a great place to live and work,” said Kevin Stone, Monterey County Association of Realtors CEO. “It continues to be the driver in home sales in Monterey County.” A “closed sale” means the title for the property has been completed, all monies have been accounted for and transferred, and the keys are in the buyer's possession.
