The median sale price of homes in the greater Richmond real estate market - comprising Richmond and Henrico, Chesterfield, Goochland and Hanover counties - mostly increased in September when compared with the same month in 2015, according to The Long & Foster Market Minute reports. In Richmond, the median sale price rose by 25 percent, followed by a 16 percent increase in Goochland County. Comment?

Median residential sale prices, with half the houses selling for less and half for more, increased in the Richmond region in August from the same month a year ago, according to The Long & Foster Market Minute reports. In Hanover County, the median sale price rose 7 percent and by 6 percent in the city of Richmond. Comment?

The number of homes sold declined in many parts of the Richmond region in March compared to year-ago levels, though Chesterfield County saw no change from the previous year. According to The Long & Foster Market Minute reports, Goochland County saw the steepest decrease in home sales at 34 percent, followed by Hanover County at 15 percent, Henrico County at 11 percent and Richmond at 7 percent.
