The Jefferson Common Council on Tuesday authorized a $500,000 loan to help finance developing new housing units at the former site of Jefferson Wood Products Inc. and Foremost Buildings Inc. "We haven't done a project for quite some time," City Administrator Tim Freitag told the council, noting that the city loan fund contains about $500,000.
