For the first three months of 2015, York County home sales were 15 percent higher than they were the same period last year, continuing a trend of double-digit percentage growth. The Realtors Association of York & Adams Counties said in a news release that 933 homes were sold through March 2015. Comment?

The York County commercial real estate market showed signs of tightening in fourth quarter 2014 as businesses continued to buy and lease properties, according to a report from ROCK Commercial Real Estate. ROCK spokeswoman Heather Kreiger confirmed that industrial property vacancy was 5.76 percent, down from 6.98 percent in fourth quarter 2013. Comment?

Home prices nationally are now within 3 percent of the peak they reached in March 2007. The Federal Housing Finance Agency released its purchase only Home Price Index for February showing that home prices increased 0.7 percent on a seasonally adjusted basis compared to January and were 5.4 percent higher than in February 2014. New figures from the Courts Service show 586 repossession orders were made by the Circuit Court in the first quarter of 2015, compared to 95 in the first quarter of 2014.
