The N.C. Housing Finance Agency received $224 million in additional funding from the federal government last week - funds which it said will allow it to continue its mortgage assistance program, previously thought to be in its final days. According to Connie Helmlinger, manager of communications at NCHFA, this is the second time the federal government has allocated funds for the N.C. Foreclosure Prevention Fund since the fund began in 2010. Comment?
