The Japanese lead the way when it comes to foreign buyers of Hawaii residential real estate so far in 2015, with 90 purchases totaling $70.2 million, according to statistics provided to PBN by Title Guaranty . "The Asian Tiger's appetite for Oahu real estate continues to grow in [the first quarter of 2015] by outpacing last year's combined [first and second quarter's] activity," Mike Imanaka , senior vice president of data services for Title Guaranty, told PBN in an email. As articles reporting great news go, when the Arizona Republic published it on June 12 it wasn't much: After nine hard years, new car sales in Arizona have finally returned to their previous peak volume, a sales record set in 2006. In comparison, our Texas dealers had a fairly tough 2009 after the financial meltdown of the previous year, but our sales and profits were back in good if not great shape by the middle of 2010. For one day of the year in the Northern Territory, the only jurisdiction in Australia that allows firecrackers to be sold to the general public, fireworks warehouses have opened their doors and begun selling thousands of dollars worth of crackers.
