City revenues came in higher than expected this year, reports Claudia Vargas, with the biggest jump coming from the realty transfer tax . "The realty transfer collection went up 16 percent from last year to $236 million this year, double the $119 million that was collected in 2012." Comment?

Newly revised preliminary digital flood insurance rate maps for the coastal Georgia areas of Bryan, Chatham, Liberty and McIntosh counties will be available for residents to review at four public open houses the week of July 18-22. Flood maps show the extent to which areas are at risk for flooding, and when updated maps become effective they are used to help determine flood insurance and building requirements. Comment?

Quigg decided to open their own brokerage, Bridgeview Real Estate Services LLC, adding to the trend of independent brokerages opening in the area.
