I am a believer in dreams, and when I had a waking dream a few days after the S&P downgrade of our national debt of President Obama packing his bags and leaving the White House, I was saddened for him and for my country. Copper rose from the lowest in four weeks as better-than-expected U.S. new home sales and gains in Chinese industrial profits boosted the outlook for demand in the world's biggest metals consumers.
