A Westland, Mich., couple who thought they'd lost their house to property-tax foreclosure are set to get their home back, according to Wayne County Treasurer Eric Sabree. Ronald and Bernice King lost their house when it was sold at the county's September auction to an investor, yet this month the buyer backed out of the deal, Sabree said. Comment?

The Department of the Treasury approved Michigan's plan to use the $74.5 million allocated to the state as part of an expansion of the Hardest Hit Fund program , paving the way for increased foreclosure prevention and blight elimination efforts in the cities of Detroit and Flint.
