After Carol Nelson played a part in organizing an online campaign to in 2012 to fundraise $45,000 to save the Peterborough Community Theatre, the Peterborough resident thought to herself: if the movie theater ever is for sale, she wouldn't mind buying it. About two months ago, Nelson, also a real estate agent for The Mollers, Inc. in Hancock, saw a "For Sale" sign in front of the home of Roy and Judy Mills, the owners of the movie theater. Comment?

Home sales in the region continue to decline on a year-over-year basis, although experts say those declines are modest and the market is generally healthy. According to the Northeast Association of Realtors, 375 single-family homes were sold in the region during August, down 9.9 percent from the 416 sold in August 2013. Comment?

South Korea's financial regulator said Sunday it will invest an additional 20 trillion won in long-term fixed-rate mortgage loans to meet the explosive demand for a new government-backed lending program meant to tackle the household debt problem.
