Testimony ended Wednesday on a part of a lawsuit filed against Entergy Corp. by the family of a worker for a subcontractor who was killed in a 2013 accident at Arkansas Nuclear One. The lawsuit was filed by the family of Wade Walters, 24, who was killed in the March 2013 accident, and two other workers who were injured. Comment?

The agreement filed Friday in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia provides direct payments to borrowers whose loans were serviced by HSBC and who lost their home to foreclosure between January 1, 2008, and December 31, 2012. Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster announced Friday a settlement with mortgage lender and servicer HSBC that will mean loan modifications for Missourians, as well as payments for approximately 2,671 Missouri borrowers who lost their homes to foreclosure. In addition to direct payments to borrowers for past foreclosure abuses and loan modifications, the settlement also includes other relief for borrowers in need of assistance, rigorous mortgage-servicing standards, and oversight authority by an independent monitor.
