The American International Group Inc. chief executive officer has posted three straight quarterly losses and will probably report Tuesday that profit in the three months ended June 30 fell 32 percent, according to analysts surveyed by Bloomberg. The Arena sports bar in downtown Ann Arbor is heading to public foreclosure auction in August after the owners failed to pay the mortgage on the property located at 201 E. Washington St. A legal notice was issued July 21 that shows the loan on the property is in default to the tune of $761,086.51. The property will be auctioned to the highest bidder at 10 a.m. on Aug. 18 at the Washtenaw County Courthouse. Comment?

Housebuilder Taylor Wimpey has said it is business as usual after it boosted profits and shrugged off uncertainty surrounding Britain's referendum on the EU. The FTSE 100 firm said trading was "in line with normal seasonal patterns" as pre-tax profits stepped up 12% to 266.6 million for the six months to July 3. Revenues picked up 9% to 1.5 billion over the period as it built more than 6,000 homes in the first half of the year. Comment?
