The Seminole City Council unanimously voted for Ann Toney-Deal to replace longtime City Manager Frank Edmunds at a special June 30 meeting. Edmunds, who has held the position for 20 years, is set to retire Aug. 15. The next step is for a representative of the council to enter into contract negotiations with Toney-Deal. Comment?

Tampa Bay homes sales slowed slightly in May with year-over-year gains not as dramatic as in recent months. For the entire metro area, which includes Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco and Hernando counties, the number of single family homes sold in May rose 11.4 percent from a year ago but was less than the number sold in April.
