Following the real estate troubles of Teresa Guidice, Chris Laurita's Wayne home is being foreclosed on after the reality-television star has failed to make a mortgage payment on the four-bedroom Colonial since October 2014, NJ.com reported. Citing court records, the website said that Laurita purchased the home in 2007 for $725,000 and took out a $525,000 mortgage. Comment?

An Egg Harbor Township man has been sentenced to 27 years in prison for his role in a $3 million conspiracy to scam customers by offering phony consulting services to owners of timeshares through the New Jersey-based Vacation Ownership Group LLC, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman said Thursday afternoon. Adam Lacerda, 31, was previously convicted of one count of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, nine counts of mail fraud and three counts of wire fraud following a seven-week trial. Comment?

" The CEOs of government-backed mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are getting large raises, to about $4 million a year, as the government relaxes rules that were imposed on the companies after they suffered big losses and were bailed out. In forms filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday, the companies disclosed that Fannie Mae CEO Timothy Mayopoulous and Freddie Mac CEO Donald Layton will get annual base salaries of $750,000 each, $2.1 million in fixed deferred compensation and $1.2 million in at-risk deferred salary. Kansas residents are paying higher taxes on cigarettes, groceries and other consumer goods but no longer have to obtain a state permit to carry a concealed gun under new laws that took effect Wednesday. The state increased sales and cigarette taxes to avert a deficit in the $15.4 billion state budget for the fiscal year that also began July 1.
