The sale of the "Keep-U-Neat" laundry plant on Railroad avenue will be held by Receiver Ingram Hartje tomorrow at 1 p.m. The plant will be sold to the highest bidder, on terms of $800 cash and the balance in monthly payments. Mr. Hartje said today that he had been in communication with four or five parties who are expected to attend the sale and make bids on the plant. Comment?

The number of houses sold in Arkansas in the first half of 2016 surpassed pre-recession totals, according to statistics released Thursday by the Arkansas Realtors Association. For the first half of the year, 16,370 homes were sold in the 43-county area surveyed by the association. Comment?

Arkansas's landlord tenant laws work well for honest landlords, too well for slumlords, and they don't work at all for honest tenants. Disputes between landlords and tenants are inevitable, and Arkansas needs laws that capture the worst players on both sides without abandoning good tenants or overburdening good landlords. Comment?
