The first half of 2016 closed strongly for local Realtors, as sales of existing homes completed a six-month period of 11.5% year-over-year growth. A total of 5,063 single-family homes were sold through June 30 of this year in the seven-county area represented by the Greater Northwest Indiana Association of Realtors. Comment?

The Lafayette Journal & Courier reports that the Indiana Beach Boardwalk Resort, located on Lake Shafer, has water attractions, roller coasters and concession stands, two campgrounds, two hotels and various vacation rentals. Apex Parks has updated several of the park's attractions in preparation for the 2016 season, and added attractions, including a single-loop roller coaster and bumper boats that will open later this season.
