The pace of single-family home sales in July in New Mexico took a step back, but the median price is still on an upward march, especially in the state's larger counties. That's according to new figures out this week from the Realtors Association of New Mexico, which depict a real estate market where houses in some of the state's more populous counties are increasingly hard to come by during one the most active selling seasons of the year. I was very lucky to attend the Texas premiere of David Mackenzie's HELL OR HIGH WATER at the Alamo Drafthouse here in Austin, TX a couple of weeks back. The Community Development Trust, a national investor in affordable housing, is one of the new owners of affordable housing for low-income families, seniors and people with special needs in New Mexico. The New York-based real estate investment trust on Wednesday said it has partnered with New Mexico-based YES Housing Inc. to refinance existing mortgage loans and make upgrades to three apartment complexes in Albuquerque, Roswell and Las Cruces. So without further delay Five years ago this month Maclean's published a story of mine entitled " What's the use of saving money?
