Scottsdale is Arizona's most expensive real estate market but it's well off the most expensive cities in the U.S, which are almost all in California. At the other end of price points, Maricopa and other Pinal County markets have the cheapest home prices, according to new report from Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC. The residential real estate firm looked at listing prices for homes with four bedrooms and two bathrooms in U.S. cities. Comment?

Demand for houses in Maricopa and Pinal counties declined in July compared to the same month of 2013, but that shouldn't be read as a sign of another housing bubble, according to a report by Arizona State University's W.P. The town is attempting to acquire the land at 211 Mill Road, which the owner, Philip Denormandie, must first offer to the town because the property was used for agricultural purposes and has been taxed at a lower rate under a state program designed to encourage such uses.
