In a sign that the spring home selling season will be strong for people putting homes on the market, February's existing home sales in the nine-county Chicago area climbed 6.1 percent over the last year as prices jumped 7.1 percent, the Illinois Association of Realtors reported Monday. For the state, home sales were up 5.7 percent compared with February a year ago, and the median price climbed 7.8 percent to $160,000. Comment?
