Nickolas Brown, manager of the Weichert Burke office, has recently announced that a team of 20 agents will be taking part in the upcoming Springfield/Burke Relay for Life event on Friday, June 12 beginning at 7:00pm at West Springfield High School. The event, organized by the American Cancer Society, will include an overnight walk/run where participants and survivors celebrate what they have overcome, remember people lost to the disease, and honor people who have fought or are fighting cancer. April's housing data, released Monday by RealEstate Business Intelligence , a subsidiary of MRIS, shows the trend of higher sales, greater inventory and modest price increases has continued through the first four months of the year. Long & Foster says the biggest drop in sales was in Loudoun County, down 16 percent from a year ago. Arlington was the only county to see a sales increase, up 6 percent, and remains the region's most expensive county, with a median selling price last month of $570,000, up 11 percent from a year ago. South Korean banks saw their mortgage lending jump by more than 9 trillion won in June from the previous month, data showed Sunday, due to sharply increased housing transactions. As of end-June, the nation's seven major banks, including Kookmin, Shinhan, Woori and Hana, held 321.04 trillion won in outstanding mortgage loans, down from 330.9 trillion won a month earlier, according to the data by the lenders.
