New York's attorney general has reached agreement with Five Star Bank requiring it stop excluding predominantly minority neighborhoods in the Rochester area from mortgage lending. Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said Sunday that an investigation showed the New York-chartered bank left those neighborhoods out of its lending area, deemed loans there "undesirable" and excluded borrowers seeking mortgages of $75,000 or less, effectively making many of its lending products unavailable there. The first loans have been closed in the New York State Mortgage Assistance Program , bringing tangible relief to New York homeowners at immediate risk of losing their homes. NYS MAP provides loans to families who are struggling to avoid foreclosure by offering them a way, for example, to pay off back property taxes or a second mortgage debts that have kept them from receiving a mortgage modification. Kim Richards of the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" was arrested and accused of trespassing, resisting arrest and public intoxication on Thursday, April 16. Richards is pictured in a scene from the "Reunion" episode that aired March 31. Apollo Nida, husband of Phaedra Parks from "Real Housewives of Atlanta," was sentenced July 8 to eight years in prison followed by five years of supervised release "for conspiring to commit mail, wire and bank fraud." It seems that may have taken a toll on the couple's marriage; Phaedra Parks has retained a lawyer with the intent to "amicably her marriage," a rep for the reality star said. Comment?
