    On this first day of Jazz Appreciation Month , the Jazz Journalists' Association has announced that local property developer Don Chisholm will receive its 2015 National Jazz Hero Award to recognize his "years of generous service and philanthropy for jazz and musical theatre in Ann Arbor." Chisholm's award will be presented on Sunday, May 26, 2015 at Kerrytown Concert House , in conjunction with pianist Ellen Rowe's "Art of the Trio" concert at 4 p.m. Members of the Southeastern Michigan Jazz Association , as well as Don Chisholm's Friends of Jazz at KCH and the U-M School of Music, Theatre and Dance, will make the presentation.
