Former Gujarat top cop Vanzara gets bail in Sohrabuddin case
The Bombay High Court on Thursday granted bail to former IPS officer of Gujarat D G Vanzara, in jail for over seven years, in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case. Vanzara, a Deputy Inspector General-rank officer, was arrested on April 24, 2007, along with two other IPS officers Rajkumar Pandian and Dinesh M N, in connection with the alleged staged encounter killing of gangster Sohrabuddin Sheikh, who was claimed to have links to Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Administration in six divisions, 13 districts asked to stay alert : September 10, 2014,
KARACHI: On basis of a warning issued by the Flood Forecasting Division of Pakistan Meteorological Department the Sindh government has ordered the administration in six divisions and 13 districts to stay alert for a safe evacuation of the population living in the Kacha area and in close proximity of the River Indus. The flood forecasting division on basis of existing conditions of the Indus reported a passage of high to very high flood levels at Guddu and Sukkur in a few days.
