NWFP hit by 11-hour power outages, petrol, CNG shortage
Tuesday, January 05, 2010 Riaz Khan Daudzai PESHAWAR: The NWFP in general and the provincial metropolis in particular continued to face energy crisis on Monday as about 550 petrol pumps went dry and over 426 gas stations could not provide CNG for sometimes because of the 11-hour-long power outages.
Sharing the report, Dr Salahuddin, who is a member of Aurat Foundation's committee on violence against women, said 233 cases were registered in different police stations in NWFP while 37 were unregistered and there was no evidence of FIR in the remaining 58 cases.
