Southwest Utah national parks generate $193 million per year

Nearly 3.7 million visitors to Zion National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument and Pipe Spring National Monument brought an estimated $193.2 million to local communities in southwestern Utah last year, according to a new report from the National Park Service.

Two rescued after three-hour search

Box Elder Dispatch received an urgent call about a rollover just after 5 a.m., Friday, Feb. 14, from a cellphone and law enforcement, including two helicopters, searched for more than three hours before the callers found help on their own.
