President Donald Trump's son will be with Vukmir at stops in Kronenwetter at G3 Industries at 2:45 p.m. and the two will head to Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids at 4:45 p.m. TIGERTON - A 46-year-old Tigerton man died Thursday in an industrial accident at Tigerton Lumber Co.

    The Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at an apartment complex, around 8 a.m. Saturday. Captain Jason Joling of the WRFD said they were called to the Oakfield Apartments at 1000 block of 28th Street North at 8:01 a.m. The woman living in the apartment where the fire started, was not home.

    More than six months after Hurricane Irma's catastrophic rampage across the Caribbean and the southeastern United States, the U.S. National Hurricane Center raised the death toll to 129 - more than twice the amount reported at the end of the storm. It also took years for Hurricane Katrina's death toll to become fully known.

    Rescuers are plucking residents from flooded homes as North Carolina's swollen rivers are reaching record or near record crests from the epic rains unleashed by Florence. Though downgraded to a tropical depression, Florence is still massive and dangerous as it covers parts of six states with North Carolina still very much in the bull's eye.

    Road access cut off to N. Carolina city after Florence

    Authorities are looking at going by air and water to get food into a North Carolina city that was cut off from road access by Florence's floodwaters. State Transportation Secretary Jim Trogdon said Sunday that one of his top priorities was determining how to restore ground access to the area.

    Authorities say a Kansas sheriff's deputy has been shot and killed while responding to a call about a suspicious person. The Wichita Eagle reports that Sedgwick County Sheriff Jeff Easter said Deputy Robert Kunze was shot Sunday about 20 miles west of downtown Wichita after arriving at the scene and seeing a person who matched the description of the suspicious individual.

    The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that two children and an adult were riding the camel during an intermission Sunday at the Shrine Circus at PPG Paints Arena when it became startled. The newspaper says one child's arm was broken, which appeared to be the most serious injury.

    Time magazine sold for $190 million to couple

    The Wall Street Journal reported that the iconic news magazine is being sold for $190 million to Benioff, one of four co-founders of Salesforce, a cloud computing pioneer. Meredith, the publisher of such magazines as People and Better Homes & Gardens, had put four Time Inc. publications up for sale in March.
