    Memorial Planned in Honor of Wheeling's Fallen Firef...

    Wheeling Hospital is covering half the cost of the statue, which is to be installed by spring. The memorial is a project of the International Association of Firefighters Local 12. Firefighters unveiled an artist's renderings of the statue Thursday in a brief ceremony at Wheeling Fire Department headquarters.

    Beverly Adams

    Beverly I. Adams, 98, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Sunday January 24, 2016 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling. Beverly worked at the former Wheeling Machine Products, and worked on the one of the early computers systems to manage operations and inventory, she commented that the progress with computers were the biggest change she witnessed in her 98 years.

    Alan was born February 16, 1953 in Wheeling, WV to the late Joann and Jack Kaufman and had lived in South Bend since 1982 coming from St. Louis, MO. He is survived by a brother, Bernhard Kaufman of Wheeling; aunt, Harriet Breslow of Maryland; uncles, Richard Kaufman of Wheeling and Stanley Goldmann of Florida; several nieces; and his most beloved family of all, "his babies", Ceasar, Cleopatra, and A.J. Alan received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Miami University in Oxford, OH and a Master's Degree in Accounting Science in 1976 from the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL.
