    Fairfield man dies in I-95 crash in Waterville

    A 73-year-old Fairfield man died Wednesday morning when he lost control of his car on the highway and hit a tree in Waterville, police said. Bertrand Bard, 73, was passing another car on Interstate 95 around 10 a.m. Wednesday when he lost control of his 2006 Jeep Laredo and crashed into a tree on the side of the highway, said Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
