HS West Homecoming a Resounding Success

It was a successful homecoming week at Smithtown High School West as the varsity football Bulls advanced their record to 3-2, remaining in the playoff hunt and leaving fans cheering on what was an otherwise chilly late afternoon homecoming celebration on Oct. 11. HSW hosted West Islip High School, who took an early lead before the Bulls came storming back on two short second-quarter touchdown runs by quarterback Dan Caroussos and running back Garrett Brunsvold. Caroussos later threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Chris Crespo, finishing with 144 yards passing on the day along with 25 yards on the ground and a two-yard run for two-point conversion.
