The Weymouth Center on East Connecticut Avenue in Southern Pines is much loved by all who know it. In the early 1900s James Boyd Sr., who lived in Pennsylvania, purchased some 1200 acres to save the land and the longleaf pines from the destruction of the turpentine industry. Comment?
