Irene Cecelia Fehl was born Jan. 28, 1928 to John and Edna Wichern on the family farm near Tyler and was baptized into the Catholic Church. She attended country school and Tyler High School, graduating in 1946.

Schroeder, rural Egan. He entered the Navy in 1969 as a diesel mechanic and was honorably discharged in 1972.
