    Philip H. Jones Jr., patriarch of Shelton's Jones Family Farms in Shelton, died this summer at age 96. He was a groundbreaker in the business of Christmas tree farms. A display at Shelton Intermediate School shows off a variety of awards given to Philip H. Jones Jr. He was known for his Christmas tree farm, for his support for the local library and for his collection of ephemera.
