    City man dies in motorcycle in Virginia

    A 65-year-old Jackson County man died Friday afternoon after the motorcycle he was driving was involved in a wreck in Newport News, Virginia. Phillip D. Caudill of Seymour died at Riverside Hospital as a result of the injuries he sustained after he lost control of the 2005 Yamaha has was driving and struck the right front of a 2006 Toyota Camry, according to a news release from Sgt.

    Three people, including a child from Seymour and her cousin from Hayden, died Thursday in two wrecks about an hour apart on Interstate 65 south of the Columbus exit. The first accident, at 4:07a p.m. Thursday, claimed the life of a Jefferson County man and created a traffic backup that led to the second fatal crash, investigators said.
