    Spa City activists call for investigation into Mount...

    A coalition of churches and social justice groups united on Tuesday night to demand that the city undertake an independent investigation into the death of Darryl Mount Jr. Standing in front of the City Center with signs reading "Justice for Darryl" and "Actions Speak Louder than Lies," the activists said that a full investigation into Mount's death is necessary in order to restore "the public trust in the system of justice is damaged." Mount, a biracial man, died in 2014, nine months after being pursued by Saratoga Springs police from Caroline Street into an alley near the Northshire Bookstore.

    Saratoga Performing Arts Center Honors Charles Hamle...

    Saratoga Performing Arts Center announced that it will once again present Orchestra of St. Luke's performing Bach's beloved Brandenburg Concertos at Bethesda Episcopal Church in downtown Saratoga Springs on Saturday, December 15 at 7 p.m. The evening will pay special tribute to classical music management visionary and the founder of IMG Artists , Charles Hamlen, who passed away on August 1, 2018 following a long battle with leukemia. Hamlen, a passionate advocate of the arts, was also an artistic advisor to Orchestra of St. Luke's and a Schenectady native.

    Eva Seredensky Nolan, 99, formerly of Spa Drive, Saratoga Springs, passed away on Monday morning, October 29, 2018 at Saratoga Hospital. She was born at home in Broadalbin on May 4, 1919 a daughter of Michael and Pelagia Lazerko Seredensky and was a 1937 graduate of Broadalbin High School.
