    Week in review

    A man was killed when a train struck and dragged his pickup truck near downtown San Mateo early Thursday morning. The northbound train #101 struck the truck on the tracks near Ninth Avenue in San Mateo at approximately 5:25 a.m. The truck was pushed to Fifth Avenue before the train could come to a stop and the driver of the truck, identified as Wayne Proia, 56, of San Mateo, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Caltrain.

    Wanda M. Lenardon

    Wanda is survived by her beloved husband of 73 years, Bob, her children Barbara Cleary , Bob , Jim and 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Wanda moved to Burlingame as a new bride in 1944.
