    Beatrice Cyr, 93

    Surrounded by loving family and friends, Beatrice Cyr died peacefully at home on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the age of 93. Born Beatrice Eva Auclaire Bouchard on Jan. 4, 1922, she was the oldest daughter of Cora and Arthur Bouchard of Centredale, R.I. She is survived by her daughters Barbara Nyzio and Lorraine Cyr both of Block Island, sister Lillian Martin of Block Island, two granddaughters, Stephanie Wizikowski of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Karen Corsilia of Ridgefield, Conn., and five grandchildren, Brandon and Cameron Wizikowski, and Jacob, Justine, and Kayla Corsilia, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband of 67 years, Ulric Cyr, died in 2010 and her sister, Edna died in 2013.

    Mrs. Henderson was a resident of Hawaii until 2001 when she moved to Redding, CT. Private interment will be in Hilo, Hawaii.

    Robert L. Marino, 85, Of Yorktown, Korean War Vetera...

    YORKTOWN, N.Y. Robert L. Marino, a longtime Yorktown resident, formerly of Shrub Oak, died Monday, June 15. He was 85. Marino worked in the architectural industry, and then became a real estate agent. He was co-owner and operator of Century 21 - Robert David Real Estate in Shrub Oak for more than 20 years.

    Caregivers Urged To Look Before You Lock To Prevent ...

    After a Ridgefield toddler died last summer in a hot car, officials at Connecticut Children's Medical Center Friday kicked off a 'Where's Baby? Look Before You Lock" campaign. Dr. Brendan Campbell, the director of Pediatric Trauma at Connecticut Children's, suggested caregivers put something in the back of their car, such as a cell phone to avoid forgetting children in the backseat.
