    Gary Hughes, animation artist and sculptor

    Gary Hughes, a sculptor who owned a film animation studio, died July 6 at his home in Rehoboth Beach, Del., of complications from a stroke. Born in Columbia, S.C., and raised in Dundalk and Woodlawn, he was the son of Gary L. Hughes, a Sinclair Refining purchasing agent, and Rhoda English Hughes, who sold real estate.
