The Connecticut NAACP and Norwalk Branch of the NAACP plan to launch an investigation into the death of a young black attorney who died under suspicious circumstances in Redding last year. The CT NAACP and Norwalk Branch plan to hold a press conference on Wednesday, Aug. 5, about the circumstances surrounding the death of Gugsa Abraham "Abe" Dabela, who died on April 5, 2014, at the age of 35. Dabela died of a gunshot wound to the back of his head after a motor vehicle crash less than a mile from his home in Redding. Comment?

Redding police have released the name of the 25-year-old man who died Thursday, July 16, from an apparent heroin overdose, according to thereddingpilot.com. Alberto Queiroz, 25, of Seventy Acres Road, was found dead at his home around noon, police said in the story. Comment?
