A Fourth of July celebration will take center stage in Moscow's Friendship Square on Saturday, July 4th at 12:00 p.m. Washington State University students will lead a Crimson and Grey Memorial Service in memory President Elson S. Floyd on Monday at 5:30 p.m. Even before Washington State University confirmed the death of President Elson Floyd on Saturday morning, words of condolence were flooding the internet.

    Condolences flood into Pullman after death of Washin...

    Elson Floyd, the popular president of Washington State University whose influence in higher education and politics spread beyond the school in rural eastern Washington, has died from complications of colon cancer. He was 59. Floyd, WSU president since 2007, had gone on medical leave earlier this month.

    Former MU President passes away

    Known by his students as "E-Flo", he passed away from complications from colon cancer Saturday morning in Pullman, Washington. He took a leave of absence from the University for cancer treatment only two weeks ago.

    Police investigating homicide in Pullman

    Police in Pullman have confirmed one person is dead following a domestic disturbance at 960 NE C Street between a father and son. Pullman Police Chief Gary Jenkins says when police arrived just before 5 o'clock Saturday evening, the father, identified as 58-year-old Virgil Luden of Sammamish, was on the floor and paramedics were unable to revive him.

    Cpl. Joshua Barron funeral service announcement

    After being flown in and brought by a procession of Patriot Guard riders to Heritage Funeral Home in Spokane, Cpl. Joshua Barron will be laid to rest on Friday, June 5. Services for the fallen Marine will be held at Life Center Church in Spokane, located at 1202 N Government Way.
