"Al," as he was known to nearly all his friends and family, had been staying with his daughter, son-in-law, and two granddaughters in Reno, Nev. Last year, Al was predeceased by his wife of 71 years, Pearl .

    A Massachusetts man who was critically injured Monday morning when he was struck by a vehicle that drove up onto a sidewalk has died. According to the statement, John Mullin, 47, of Willington, Massachusetts, was struck while walking alongside Route 11 on a section known locally as Washington Street.

    Obituary: Josephine E. Crelan

    Josephine Ellen Crelan died after a brief illness on June 15, 2016, in Portland, Maine, at the age of 84. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur J. Crelan. She is survived by her seven children, Arthur Crelan and wife Janice, Lawrence Crelan, Debra Crelan, Frank Crelan, Jonathan Crelan and wife Heather, all of Naugatuck, Brenda Crelan of Litchfield, Frances Boudreau and husband Paul of Norwich, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her sister, Jean Klonis of Southbury.
