    Charles McGill, 53, Peekskill

    Charles Alexander McGill, 53, originally of Binghamton recently passed away quietly and peacefully, surrounded by family, at his home in Peekskill. McGill graduated from Binghamton High School in 1982, received his AFA in 1984 from Keystone Junior College, his BFA in 1986 from The School of Visual Arts, completed a summer residency at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and received his MFA in 1989 from Maryland Institute College of Art.

    Anne Flegel: 1943-2017

    Anne Hartwig Flegel, a former first-grade teacher at St. Joseph's School in Atherton, an active member of Peninsula Volunteers, and a longtime Atherton resident, died June 26 at age 74. Ms. Flegel suffered from dementia since 2011, and spent several years at the Sequoias Memory Center in Portola Valley, said her husband, Mark Flegel, owner of Flegel's Home Furnishings and Interior Design in downtown Menlo Park.

    Gabe Pressman, the legendary television newsman whose career started as a cub reporter in Westchester before a half-century-long tenure at WNBC News 4, died Friday at the age of 93. "This is an incredibly sad day for the WNBC family. Gabe Pressman was a television icon who served our viewers for more than 50 years," Eric Lerner, WNBC president and general manager, said in a statement.

    Harold P. Gaska, 90, Formerly Of Peekskill

    He was predeceased by his step-mother Emily Gaska, sister Helen and three brothers, George, Walter, and Wilbur Gaska. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, June 26, at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home of 209 Main St. Germantown.
