    Donald C. Fury Jr.

    Donald Clinton Fury Jr. died peacefully in Parkersburg, W.Va., while resting with his family, friends and loved ones at the age of 67. Don is survived by the love of his life, Angel Null of Parkersburg, W.Va.; his daughter, Lindsey Fury of Holden Beach, N.C.; his son, Laine Fury of Belpre, Ohio; and grandchildren, Kylee Fury, Devin Siler, Jayden Fury and Zerrence and Xzylan Clarida. Don was born on Aug. 13, 1947, in Parkersburg, W.Va.

    Emma Buchanan, 82, of Washington, W.Va., died May 7, 2015, at Worthington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Parkersburg. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Wilton H. "Buck" Buchanan; also by a brother, Robert Burford; a sister, Jean Bane; sister-in-law, Arlea Mackey Burford; and brother-in-law, Ben Bane.

    Fashion was the topic of choice at the July meeting of the Wood County Historical and Preservation Society Monday evening at the Parkersburg and Wood County Public Library. In a special one-hour presentation, Judith Smith spoke to those in the crowded room about fashions from 1837 to the 1920s.
