    He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Mollie L. Dennis; daughter, Robin S. Lilly of Vienna; son, Robert S. Dennis of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Sarah Anne Shockey, Christopher Shockey, Noah Shockey, Cheyanne Lilly and Grace Lilly; a great-granddaughter, Marlie Lilly; a sister, Wanda Hines of Glendale, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lenora Dennis; a brother, Paul Dennis; and two sisters, Juanita Wildman and Wilma Utt.

    Deborah Kay Dulan Cunningham, 59, of Smithville, W.Va., passed away at her home suddenly on Jan. 25, 2016, due to an unexpected illness. She is survived by her husband, David Cunningham of 26 years, Dave and Debbie had been together for over 38 years; her son, Johnny Ray Blosser and their children, Cody, Courtney, Rayanna, Breanna and Wyatt Blosser of Grantsville, W.Va., April and Racheal Blosser of Parkersburg, W.Va.; three stepchildren, Mark Cunningham of Flatwoods, W.Va., Steven Cunningham of Virginia and Robin Roberts of Parkersburg, W.Va.; 23 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and two grandchildren whom her and Dave was raising, Franklin and Kiara Cunningham of Smithville, W.Va.

    Lee remembered as teacher, actor, friend

    Through multiple performances in 2012 and 2013, Josh Martin watched friend and mentor John Lee "die" on stage as the two starred in the Actors Guild of Parkersburg's production of "Tuesdays with Morrie." On Wednesday, Martin was present with other friends of Lee's when the veteran actor, director and educator passed away in a Columbus hospital at age 84, after complications following a fall and a broken hip over the weekend.
