    Peggy Carozza of Parkersburg, beloved mother of Daniel Joshua , and Sarah Bonnie Carozza, and wife of Daniel Carozza, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015. Peggy fought a long courageous battle with cancer by using her great faith.

    Humane Society plans expansion

    An expansion and redesign of the shelter on 29th Street calls for creating separate areas for the cats and dogs, establishing isolation areas for sick animals and separating the animal adoption area from where the animals are brought into the shelter. This is part of the P.A.W.S. project at the Humane Society.

    Keeling L. Fife

    He was born Feb. 25, 1943, in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., to the son of late Lewis Keeling and Lelia Fife. Keeling was employed by the Wood County Board of Education for 35 years as a teacher at Franklin Jr. H.S. and Parkersburg South H.S. He also taught at the Governor's Honors Academy and WVU-P for several years.

    Betty Lutz

    Betty Lutz passed away peacefully, with her loving family by her side, on Feb. 12, 2015, following a several month illness. She spent her early life there where she attended De Sales Heights Academy and graduated from Georgetown Visitation in Washington, D.C., and Marymount College in Tarrytown, N.Y. She returned to Parkersburg, where she worked for veterinarian Dr. Jim Davis, at the Dudley Avenue Small Animal Clinic for many years, and further developed her lifelong love of all animals, especially dogs.
