In 1990 David K. Robertson was one of seven colleagues who led an employee buyout of Jacksonville-based Reynolds, Smith & Hills Inc., a risky move he later called "stepping out on a big limb that already had a crack in it." "It was quite a big undertaking, extremely leveraged," Mr. Robertson, who died Monday after a short illness, told the Times-Union in 2004. Comment?
