    Mr. Gerald "Mose" Dean Wurschum, 77, of Fayetteville, NC formerly of Hopedale, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 2, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. He was born on June 9, 1938, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., to the late Charles Richard Wurschum and Gladys Pratt Wurschum.

    Jacob Ralph - Pete' Shank

    Jacob Ralph "Pete" Shank, 79, of McAlisterville, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, Jan. 9, 2016, at his home with his three loving children by his side. He was born Aug. 13, 1936, to the late Jacob and Ida Ferster Shank, and was the widower of Hilma Fay Leister Shank, who passed on Jan. 9, 1998, and to whom he had been married for 43 years.

    Obit: Rita Thurnherr

    Rita A. Thurnherr, 67, from Port Charlotte, Florida, originally born in Buffalo, peacefully passed away at the Tidewell Hospice House Dec. 22, 2015, at 2:20 a.m. after an eight-year battle with lung cancer. A former resident of Grand Island, Rita taught through example and she told everyone she met that, no matter what happens in life, you have to smile and keep going.
