    Newspaper offices got start as store

    There are no more horse collars or anvils at 16 Jefferson St., but the corner building in downtown Newnan still has reminders of its origins as a store. The building, constructed for Thomas Gholston Farmer Sr. in 1914, has housed the offices of The Newnan Times-Herald for close to 50 years.
